Removing Handle on barn door - offside so i can carpet line

I've serached everywhere (I think), watched so many videos on carpet lining the barn doors.... yet no one seems to show how to get the door handle out of the offside dor so I can carpet it then replace.

Is it a case of using a metal trim too and popping it out or is it fixed in?? I dont want to go at it too heavy handed trying to pop it out and break it - but I cant see any obvious fixings..... am I blind?? someone must know

Do you mean the trim on the inside ? It slides up then pops off

@Blue_Joe did you find out how to remove the offside handle? If so, could you let me know how it's attached; inside fixing or pop-out from the front?
