Removing Holder of winddow electronics etc.

Hi Everyone,

I want to put some acoustic treatment in my cab doors, and I'm looking for some confirmation that I have the right idea of how to take it apart. After removing the door card, I am faced with the metal piece which holds the electrics and motor for the window. As far as I am aware, I should remove the two rubber bungs and wind the window down to gain access to the screws holding the window in place. After unscrewing these, I should pull the window up and tape it in place so it is held in the closed position. Then I can remove the bolts holding the metal piece in place and I will get access to the outer steel skin of the door.

Is this correct? Are there and common mistakes made when doing this? Is there anything else I should be careful or aware of?

thanks a lot for your expertise!
