Replacing Headlight Bulbs

Recently had to replace a driver's side headlight bulb. No great problem, just take out the air filter cover. Then had a look at the passenger side . Any suggestions on how to do this side without removing the battery?

I use the phone selfie camera to take a picture of the back of the connector. Once you know where the clips etc are it’s much easier to understand what you’re feeling when firkling about blind James Herriot style. Saying that, taking the battery out makes it a piece of cake.

If you take the battery out does that mess up the electronics, alarms etc. Or does one do it quickly and then it all goes quite once reconnected.

You'll have to reset your clock and the one-touch on your windows but I've never had any other problems

Anyone tried, someone must have, supplying 12v via the 12v dash socket to just keep thinks going while the battery is disconnected? Or am I not thinking straight?

You can do that but remember that the positive battery lead will be live even when the battery is out so must be isolated to ensure it doesn't touch the chassis

I did this today and removed the battery. Its very straight forward and everything worked as it should afterwards.

You will need to reset the clock and one touch windows.

It’s really not necessary- you can change it just by feel, the passenger side is the easiest - have a look at the attached photosC3CDD334-789B-401F-8903-48891905AEC0.png
