Replacing oil sensor loom - does it just clip off both ends?

After a fun 30 mins crawling around on my back at the side of the road (I don't have any off-road parking) making a temporary bodge to a nibbled oil sensor loom on my T6 (thanks previous T6 Forum threads for suggesting checking it), I'm wondering if I'm better removing to either replace it or at least repair it properly where I can see what I'm doing. Does it just clip off both ends? Any specific tool needed or tips for removing? I couldn't really see while I was under there.

(Subsequent research makes me hopeful it's D connectors at each end, which will clip off with the right technique, no tools needed)
