Replacing subframe bolts

I'm looking to replace the subframe bolts and just wondered if I can do this by just replacing one at a time, remove one, replace it and torque it and then move onto the next bolt, or if doing it this way would somehow mess with the torque as they are stretch bolts? it's a 2004 T5.1 if that makes a difference.

Many thanks.

2004 makes it a T5 not T5.1. It would be quite hard to stretch one of those huge bolts! On my T5 I just tightened them up with a simple 3 foot bar. The subframe is supposed to be lined up with special tools but on my T5 I just replaced the subframe using the obvious marks on the body after my gearbox work and there has been no tyre wear or any other steering/suspension problem in the last 30k miles.
