Reprogram old key

Hi,

T6, I lost one of our keys a few years ago and so had the remaining one re coded and bought a second key too.

Typically 2 weeks later the key turned and I just kept it, can it be reprogrammed by using the methods I’ve seen ie put in ignition then put current one in door etc? Or does it need taking to a tech to be done?

Did I understand you correctly?
Have you got 3 keys in total now?

if so, remote central locking functionality on your recovered key can be relearned.
If your BCM is revision C or lower then it can be done easily with a VCDS, OBD11, etc.
If the BCM is higher revision much more sophisticated tools are required.

Yes I’ve 3 keys. 2 work as remote, the original just unlocks manually

I’ve got a Carista will that do the job? Not started a trial of it yet…

I am not sure if Carista can do it.
Generally speaking you would need to access adaptations of your BCM at address 09.

Hi,
I have a T6 from 2018 with 2 keys and only one with remote.
The remote function doesn't work anymore. It happened suddenly.
The key battery is new, I tried the resynchronisation but it still doesn't work.
Someone checked if the key was able to transmitting something with a tool and yes the key still transmitting.
Do you know If a key reprogrammation can fix it?
I think the immobilisation version is IMMO4.
it's impossible to do this with thinkcar do you know if I can reprogram the whole key with ODB11 or an other OBD manufacturer for a good price?

Could be ignition barrell? Is the steering lock working, does the radio turn off when you remove the key?
