Resetting my key fob

Hi all , couldn’t find in the search how to re sync my key fob after replacing the battery if anyone could let me know that would be great thanks.

It’s 2017, I’ve tried the manual and either I’m not understanding the sync the process (it’s not very clear or it just doesn’t work).

Thanks Robert , I’m guess you use some for of software for this , I haven’t got anything like that.
There’s supposed to be a way buy turning the ignition on (with the key youve replaced the battery with ) and using your other key to lock and unlock the door etc then it syncs the ignition key.

I bought a new key for the 2013 Polo. The procedure was to press the unlock button on the fob, unlock the drivers door with the new key blade, then turn the ignition on within 10 seconds.
