I did the electric side door fit on my T6 kombi a few years back, its a reasonably large job to do and not one you can diy at home
The door motor lives inside the van and pokes out through the body at the rear so you have to cut a reasonable size hole through the paintwork that is slightly unnerving and once its all done you will need new keys to operate it and these will need the immobiliser programmed to work

Power-Closing Sliding-Door Retrofit
anybody retrofitted the sliding door to be automatic??
