I’m looking at getting some 1+1+1 rear Kombi seats for my 6.1. I can’t post in the wanted area yet for some reason but does anyone have any general advice before I delve into this?

I’m an industrial electrician and fairly confident in undertaking the work myself.

Cheers!

We have the 1+1+1 kombi system in the rear.

And will be selling when we go down the rib bed and pop top roof layout.(Still saving up so don't know when)

So will probably selling as a complete set...

Seats, seatbelts, floor brackets, kombi floor mat.

I suppose the combi floor Matt will work as a template to mark out where the floor brackets need to go.

There are "dimples" in the floor to show you where to drill. I think tank needs to be dropped for some of the brackets and ensure you have the strengthening brackets for underneath as they will be fixed onto any donor vehicle as it is quite unusual to have them removed.

Oh and you probably know they fetch good money.

what sort of prices are they going for atm from the research you have done? - all as a kit or seperates?

You need VIP Membership to post for sale/wanted threads and they need to be in the specific sub forum, as explained in the sticky at the top of it  :

honestly some of the people on ebay got sets without brackets or belts for £2k. A couple of years ago I paid £850 just for the seats which I think was a pretty good price at the time. Brackets themselves have gone crazy and the middle single with the belt on its own is quite desirable.

Ah didn’t realise about the dimples! I should probably watch some videos on installation.

The van is my work van but I wanted to make it more usable as a back up vehicle if the other half’s is in the garage etc

Will definitely be adding the strengthening plates. A mate of mine has fit a bench seat to his but hasn’t put the strengthening plates in as “you don’t need them”.
Mine will have my kids in so I think I’ll be fitting them!!

I also rightly or wrongly have a bit of paper certified by and independent assurer to say that they have been installed in line with Manufacturers guidelines! Having kids in back made me also go down that route. I find even when I've used van for jobs or collecting hear etc the seats are not really a nuisance. If anything been helpful when collecting doors or even IKEA wardrobes! Provides a wee shelf. Depends what you are doing like!

Right I think I’ve got some seats sorted. 1+1+1 from a T6.1 for £1000 but not including the floor brackets. Didn’t realise the floor brackets were so expensive! I need 12!

Anyone know how easy it would be to custom extend a Kombi rubber floor that is a twin slider as I have a single slider? Been offered one for £30 locally. Looking on eBay for a SWB single slider Kombi mat and they are crazy expensive!
