Been fitting a pair of Rusty Lee seat swivels. Much as they are a good idea there are so many negatives. The Drivers Seat swivel adds a lot of height to the seat so the driving position for a 6’ person is awful. The seat is as far back as possible and the seat is pumped down as far as it will go. Clutch control is affected badly and the steering wheel is basically on your knees if you want to read the instruments, and see the bottom warning lights. Then of course there is lowering the handbrake to be down so it can turn.
The twin seat swivel does not fit as Rusty Lee expects if you have insulated the floor with Deadmat Duo and have a Sportline Carpet. The swivel will not go far enough down the front fixing studs to get a nut on. It appears you have to remove these studs and fit bolts as you are expected to do at the rear. The swivel also sits too far forward so the Sportline mats will not fit in the correct position.
This is just a general warning for peeps to bear these points in mind when you order these swivels. Plus there are no fitting instructions with either of the Rusty Lee swivels.
Anyone else been irritated in the same way with these things. All the sellers avoid all these problems in their fitting videos. Wonder why?
