Roof bars and SCA pop top

Hi all

just to say what an amazing forum although you have all scared the life out of me with leaky roof bar talk 1

we have a newish as of last year T6 fitting roof bars bought through the forum this weekend and planning to use some silicone to fit as have read about the leaks. just a quick question the plan is later in the year or early next to get a Reimo or SCA roof fitted - I am thinking that as they cut out your roof any silicone I put in will be no issues as and when that happens but just wanted to ask can they re-use my roof bars on the pop top roof.

we have a lot of surfboards and will need to put them on the roof

Banwy sell a kit to allow you to attach roof bars to an SCA. The main issue will be the weight limit. I think the max load is something like 70kg and that will be including the bars (you better double check that figure)

I had a look on google there and it looks like SCA recommend 70kg as the weight limit. I assume that would have to also include the bars and the frame the bars attach to
