Screws in barn door window surround

I have 3 screws in the surround to each of my barn doors, pics below.

It was a used panel van, converted and with after market glass put in. I don't think they were the convertor, they don't seem to have any function. They don't look OEM, so I presume they were there from its former van life?

Just want to make sure before I remove them, as I will be getting some Vanshades to replace the rear curtain.

They would have been there for screws to hold the ply lining in place on the back doors. Ours has them too.

Thanks Pete, so presume no problem removing?

Would anyone recommend doing anything with the holes that will be left?

I would just paint those screws the same colour as the surround they are in.

Gotcha. Did puzzle me because they weren't on the inward-van-facing surface, but makes sense now!

You could put some waxoiled pop rivets in to minimise their visibility.
