I have been looking for some front seat covers for my 8 seat T6 since April - no joy anywhere and kicking myself for not buying the bus with leather. Has anyone had any success with aftermarket covers??
I should have my Seatskinz covers delivered today; I'll let you know how I get on.
Reviews are great and loads of photos on their FB page.
Pretty good - well made, thick and apart from the headrest error, they are a very good fit with "holes" for the armrest height adjuster wheels, a decent back pocket (we lost these with the VW waterproof covers on our last Cali). We've gone for the fabric middle with "leather look" sides which extends to the headrest and armrest covers; thinking it'll be nice and durable and resistant to us treading on the "shoulders" of the seats to get to the top bed.how do they look?
Do they have slits for the side airbags?Pretty good - well made, thick and apart from the headrest error, they are a very good fit with "holes" for the armrest height adjuster wheels, a decent back pocket (we lost these with the VW waterproof covers on our last Cali). I've got the right tool (very large torx OR allen key) to remove the armrests so hoping that fitting them should be okay.
The website states clearly "original airbag technology" but I'm not actually sure how it works. I've pinged an email to them asking the question.Do they have slits for the side airbags?
Not yet - as mentioned, they got the size of the headrests wrong (the T6 ones are 50mm taller - that might just be on the Cali and Caravelle though?) so they are doing an "emergency" job making new ones and I plan to fit them once they arrive. Should be a week or two.@Polzeylad you got any photos of them on
That's a possibility but I do worry about anything that permanently strays from OEM.We are going to wait till they bad then get them recovered in leather.
