Seat question

Hi all

I’ve currently got the drivers seat plus double in my 2021 t6.1 start line camper

Missus really does hate the double on a longer journey and I’d love to upgrade to something more
Comfy, I really can’t justify the extra £1000 for a passenger seat.

I’ve been exploring options and one that keeps popping up are the vxr recaro seats.

Question is aside from the rail and base modifications am I likely to incur and electronic or dash implications from removing the drivers or double bench seat ?
And will the seatbelt work ? And or chime that usually goes off when seatbelt is not on.

Spend a bit extra mate and get the best upgrade you’ll ever make, keeping the missus happy. No warnings or issues with fitting these and they’ll always be worth a fair chunk of what you paid if you ever sell the van.

Thank you so much for the message but I’m afraid you’re a bit out of my price range on them!
I will have mine to sell on when I make the change but not sure the extra change would stretch to them!

Personally I would keep it all OEM as I love the armrests. Your right they are hideously expensive and your going to need about the 1K mark for one. Really worth it though for the comfort.

Other option could be a vancraft reclining bracket? not something I have experience on but a search on here should help. Lots of others have fitted it to the double to improve the comfort.

THQ now also sell a bracket that bolts to the seat to allow you to fit other VAG seats

I fitted AMG seats in mine (pics in project thread on signature) and didnt have any warnings/errors. Got a friend to modify the base and then all was good
