Seats in row 2.5? possible?

I have a kombi which I want to kit out as a day van, and wondered if its possible to move the seats (currently 2+1) further backwards - to row 2.5?
It's a LWB, and my concern about row3 is being able to fit a wheelchair behind the seats.

Anyone with suggestions or alternatives?

I think you will have problem with the seat belts (unless integrated) and bracket location may not have beam for strengthening plates underneath the van. Best option would be to use Caravelle rail system so you can slide it.

Thanks for this. It’s just storage for the wheelchair. Needs about two foot of depth.

As I have a LWB it may be that a 1+1+1 might be suitable in row 3. I only actually need four seats.

The seat in the rear row position in my SWB means I have about 2ft between rear of seat and tailgate. Pictured here….





From the factory you can only get the 3 seater bench with the middle 4x floor mounts in the rear row.

I have seen someone do a 1+1 squeezed in between the wheel arches but this is not factory option. Neither is 1+1+1 unfortunately.

If you need to know the exact size let me know and I’ll measure it for you.

In the current Shuttles the last row brackets allow for the triple OR on the left side a single from the middle row. Mine has 6 brackets in it for the last row. I thought it was a one off however saw the same in a brand new Shuttle in the showroom when I was in Slovakia. I am guessing it could be mirrored on the right to have a 1+1 as mentioned above.
