Securing a gas locker.

Hi all,

I’ve just ordered my gas locker and it’s going to live directly under the hob in a cupboard. The cupboard is much bigger than the locker so I want to secure it to either the floor or ribs of the kitchen unit.

Just wondered how others have done this? L brackets on the floor was my first thought but it’s a bit on your face.

Any tips?

Thanks.

It’s heavy, in a collision it’s going to fly unless it’s secured through the steel floor.

The locker doesn’t need to be made of metal. Ours is located behind the rear wheel arch under the wardrobe with a simple latch on the door. (no key needed)

The cylinder is though, 20Kg decelerating from 60MPH over a couple of seconds has a mass in excess of 600Kg.
More than 2 paracetamol can deal with.
