Service plan

Hi all, we pick up our Caravelle this weekend and something the dealer has priced up for me is the VW service plan. £968 for two major and two interim services plus the next MOT. It can also be paid in monthly instalments.

Based on the prices of individual services, this looks to be a good offering but does anybody have experience of one of these plans? positive or negative? Also does anybody know whether you are tied to the service department of the dealer which sold you the plan or can you choose a different garage closer to home? Thanks in advance

I took a 2 service plan when I bought my camper (to take to end of VW warranty). The details of the plan are kept on the VW database and can be accessed by any VW dealer. I will decide after that whether to buy another 2 services, or use my local VW specialist.
