Should It Show The Bonnets Open On My Dash Display ?

I have a t6 kombi 2015 and the display doesn’t change if I have the bonnet open or shut ,all other doors show fine should it show on there ??

It's part of the lock and cannot be replaced separately, so best to give a good spray with cleaner and hope it's just stuck.

I have since Removed the catch and you can see a small micro switch on there which slides out ,the plunger was stuck in probably because vws are so reliable the bonnet had not been opened *coughs loudly ,so a flick with the finger and a dribble of WD40 and bobs your uncle
