Hi all I have 20 inch wheels on the van and want to know what mm to drop it buy. Anyone have pictures with explanation of the size you lowered it by.
I have been told by friend to drop 30mm but can’t find HR 30 mm for T6 2019. My guy who converted it said do 45mm which I believe will look good but will it crash out when it hits bumps etc.
My tyres 275/40/20
can anyone share pictures of theirs

B14 komforts wound down around 60mm I believe on 265/40/20
pretty sure 275 will rub if you go to low

40mm drop here and the front 275's rubbed slightly on full lock but 265's don't.

Thanks for reply guys I want the look but just don’t want to bring problems with full lock or crashing out loads. It’s so unknown really but appreciate your response

I put 45mm drop SoLow springs on thinking I was being clever and it was a disaster.
They are now mated to Koni shocks (from CRS Performance) and been transformed. No crashing.

The problem with lowering a van and getting people's opinions on comfort is that it's all relative! If you have driven run of the mill cars most of the time, going to a van is a decrease in comfort. Then when you lower it your making things stiffer and even more harsh. If your used to sportier cars with stiffer rides the change to a van/lowered van isn't as significant.

This is my van. It's down about 160mm on Solow lows and 235/35/20 tyres. For me, the ride is great! Yes it is a bit crashy over rough terrain and it scrapes to hell over speed bumps, but on smoother roads and motorways it feels just like a sporty car would.

How low you go, and what wheel/tyre combo you end up with is mainly down to what you can live with. But for me, low is the only way to go! Haha

In regards to lowering, wheel and tyre size there's a lot of variables that make significance. 275 is a bit wide at the front of a Transporter and makes it tricky to be totally rub free.

Change any one of Wheel width, offset and tyre brand and you may see rubbing. For example on my old T5.1 lowered 50mm, 9J width wheels and ET33 I would get inner arch rubbing with Pirelli tyres but none with Accelera. That is for the same wheel and tyre size.

I’m on MTS Technic coilovers that’s been lowered by an amount! No idea as me and mechanic looked at the kit and decided on where to lock the collars based on the struts. Just right amount for as a blend between lowered and use-ability (looks between 50-60 based on other pictures). I’m on 245/40 tyres, no rubbing or catching of any sort, ride is wonderfully compliant.
