Same as the first car I ever drove (10 feet in the drive), my mates Dad still doesn’t know about it. Sort of set a high benchmark at just 15 years old.

970S was special - same bore as 1275 but a short stroke crank to get under 1000cc (IIRC) - I used to read and study the Vizard books!

It was a special and rare car in which I took part in the Italian Job driving from London to Rome and back raising money for Children’s charities. Here is a pic of the engine.

@Higgidav love the Exige, 160 or 190? I drove a couple of S2s but could never bring myself to buy one as my daily, probably sensible looking back but seemed boring at the time!

It was a 190. I owned it for 12 years. Yes not very practical but great fun for the money.
