Side bars? Yes or No?

I can't decide whether to fit side bars to 2023 Ravenna blue van. Currently fitted with LV body kit and air suspension.

Feedback would be appreciated. Pros and cons? Which is the best quality? Thanks.

I bought a set along with a load of other stuff in preparation for my van arriving. I’ve fitted everything else, from mud flaps to wind deflectors, but held off on the side bars. They’re still in the box in the garage. My van is a T28 SWB and I’m conscious of weight, especially after the wife bought loads of bedding and stuff for the inside.

Id say yes. If nothing else they'll protect the sills from damage if you misjudge a high kerb or the like.

Have a Ravenna blue, and always had black bars on all my vans , but got fed up with the rusting so haven’t bothered this time, and as each van I’ve purchased I’ve done less, so less is more (cleaner looks) or maybe it’s a age issue lol

Even though my other vehicle is a Toyota Hilux which is pretty long, it took a while to get used to getting around tight corners without clipping the back wheel on my LWB Van (probably because the back wheel is further back than the Hilux). I haven't clipped the sill YET, but bars would certainly help.

I guess personal taste / looks but they do partially protect the cill from damage They all tend to suffer stone chips so I’ve had mine fitted with a section of PPF

Round or trapezoid side bars for swamper ?
Can’t decide 🤔
Currently round on, but chipped and rusty, so need replacing. HQ ones are stainless steel with 2 years warranty.
Any suggestions?
Thx

When you buy your new side bars, you could spray coat them in Raptor 2k paint before fitting them, it does have a slight textured finish but would be ok on a swamper, that’s what I did a few years ago, no chips or rust etc, the paint really stinks when applying so you need a good mask and a dry day
