Side Door Space Saver Ruins Paint!

I recently installed an inner side door panel, which has handy slots in which to put stuff. Incidentally, it's not possible to fit this incorrectly (unless you're a complete cretin).
However, some month or so after this, I noticed there were deep scuffs on my rear wheel arm and assumed it was some idiot in a car park who misjudged the turn.
It wasn't until a few weeks after this, when I was inside the van with the side door shut, that I noticed suspicious scratch marks on the inner door panel...
On closer inspection, it appears that the bloody thing has been rubbing on the wheel arch (sorry, anonymous idiot car driver).
There are only clips around the panel, they are all present, there's nothing visibly out of place, so how the hell did this manage to pass design testing?

Pretty pissed off as I look after my van, not sure how to go about complaining and wondered if anyone else had encountered issues?

May post some pics if there's interest.

I have a LOC8 table in the door and I also have arch trims so really small gap when the sliding door is open and was seeing rubbing. I now use some little rubber wedges to push the table into the door mount a few extra mill and this has made a big difference.

Doesn't help you I know.

I was wondering if there was any adjustment available on the door that wouldn't effect the closing/locking.
