Currently I'm looking at Fridge options.
I'm looking at the Apicool Adventure C50 side opening
or a portable top loading cool box mounted in the side unit under the worktop.

What are peoples preference/experiences with a side opening or top load fridge?

Side opening -

+ keeps worktop free when camping to put stuff on without having to move it when you want to get to the fridge.
- Loose cool temp when opening & possible stuff falls out if dislodged while travelling
- If you have stuff on the floor - e.g dog bed cant get to the fridge

Top Opening :

+ Up out of the way can install above wheel arch
+ keeps cold in when opening and nothing fall out
- Have to move stuff on Worktop when you want to get to the fridge.

Have you considered a drawer fridge? All the advantages of a side opener, but, when you open it, you don't get thing flying out and you don't lose as much of the cold air.

I have a California bed installed which has a metal drawer installed in it - which I don't think it will take one as its on movable rails

A drawer fridge is usually installed in a side kitchen under the worktop, same as a side opener.
