I have an 8 seat window van in which I alternate the back row between the triple bench seat and a ‘middle’ shuttle seat, depending on what we’re doing(albeit I rarely see us carrying 7 passengers) Row 2 is a single and a double seat.
I’ve been thinking a bit about how we’ll use the van and different seat combinations for now and the future. So looking at the floor brackets I thought both left brackets on row 2 (looking from the back) look the same spacing as the row 3 brackets.
Measured them and they are, so the middle shuttle seat will clip into LHS of row two. With the right floor brackets one would fit the other side too.
I think this would be useful for people who need two extra seats where you dont want to fit seatbelts into the van. It also proves the pressings in the floor pan could fit these seats in row 3 as well albeit offering up the plastic cover on part of the seat touches the wheel arch.
These pics hopefully show what I mean...The last one shows the shuttle seat in R3
