I have a potential buyer for my T6 but they need 6 seats and I currently have 5- so changing passenger from 1 to 2 would
Tick the box.
Has anyone done this? Can only find 2 to 1 threads…
And any ideas on costs?
Thanks for any help

Im sure people have and its just a reverse of what you seen in the 2 to 1 threads.

Guessing you just need to remove the floor blanks, change your cab mat to suit etc. i bet someone on here would happily do a swap + cash your way

There is just the airbag issue according to what I’ve read. Single seat = single airbag. Double seat needs the appropriate air bag. General consensus of the forum is that swapping to a single seat with a double airbag is OK (which I have done)

We have 6 seats and have a single ‘belted’ shuttle seat in the third row as SWMBO found the double uncomfortable.

But surely its the buyers problem unless you’re desperate to sell? You could do all this work and they pull out of the deal.

I think I’d be say what @T6ChrisO has alluded to above - I single seat is far more valuable than a double - guess is £200 Vs £800+ so shouldn’t cost them to change (or be cost neutral if they go to a specialist for the swap)

Given that the single seat is generally much more in demand I'd just point the buyer here and leave it to them.

If they pull out you've spent money, effort and ended up with what much of your market will regard as a less valuable van.
