Slamlock removal

Hi all, just bought a 70 plate T6 with slamlock locks fitted to the tailgate and sliding side door
I am trying to disconnect them to use the doors without having to use the keys. I have found a post on here with regards to installation Slamlocks, but cannot find info on disconnecting them. I have tried disconnecting the cables and electric with no luck there must be a way of shutting them off so I can use the doors without the key, many thanks Ian
