I am offering my beautiful, as-new Slidepod for sale. It's only 3 months old, has never been used, and has the balance of a 2 year transferable warranty outstanding.

It's a Multi Pod, so will fit a T6 with the VW floor rails and VW 3 seat bench, e.g. California Beach and Caravelle T5/T6. It's a slick and well built piece of kit, and comes with:

  • Sink and tap
  • Double gas burner hob (powered by 2 screw on disposable gas cartridges)
  • Double USB charging socket
  • Shower attachment (for hosing down dog, bikes, boots, wetsuits, children etc)
  • 12v auto socket
  • Cutlery roll in side pocket
  • Lighting upgrade
  • Removable side table
  • Anti-slip matting inside cupboards
  • 30L fresh water tank
  • Soft close slide in and out
With the 3 seat bench folded flat, the top of the unit makes up part of the bed and the cooker etc can be used with the seats in seat or bed mode. It bolts into the standard VW floor rails and plugs into the 12v socket in the back of the van. More on it here.

£1850 or very nearest offer. Collection from Farnham, Surrey. Would consider delivery to within an hour or so of Farnham.

[From the Slidepod factory, this pod retails at £2700.]

lovely van and the slidepod looks to be a fantastic piece of kit.but the switches.......NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Can you side the pod forward if you slide the rear bench forward, so you can load the boot between the pod and tailgate?

Those switches are only clipped in so would be easy enough to turn round. Must admit it would do my nut in ;)

Hi @Gonesailing. You could do this, but you'd have to undo the four floor bolts that hold the slidepod in position, slide the whole thing back and then secure the bolts again. I'm not sure you'd want to be doing it frequently.

How easy is it to get in and out of the van. Have a Caravelle and in essence will only put it in the vehicle when camping

Takes 5 mins or so, and no tools required, but is a two person job to lift the pod and the outer case (they aren't heavy - just bulky). Not sure about the Caravelle, but in the Cali to get the slidepod case out, the bench seat needs to move forward a bit the case can be slid back and turned a little to get it out. The Caravelle might have less restrictive 'hips' on the boot meaning it might be able to slide out even more easily.

The other thing you could do is to get a utility pod which is a pull out storage drawer, so you leave the slide pod case in, and just swap the kitchen unit for a storage drawer.
