Sliding Door Catch Cap Fitting

Jus wondering if anyone knows how this bit fits onto the top of the rod from the locking mechanism. Part no 7e5843613 9b9

It looks as if it just push fits onto the end of the rod but does anyone know if there’s anything in between. I’ve looked on the exploded diagrams on the forum and can’t see any other part.



Would welcome any info from others who may have refitted this.

Just a follow up to this. It is a push fit. The rod goes into the slotted central hole.
