Sliding door not closing

Our sliding door on our T6 is not catching shut. The little hook thing on the rear end of the door can be moved with your finger, and the door will shut flush with the rest of the van, but it doesn’t latch shut. Any suggestions? We’re due to tow our caravan on holiday Wednesday, so not an ideal time to happen! Based in south wales near Cardiff.

I have got the same issue this morning, i had my door off to carpet the frame on Friday, its been shut since then and now the rear catch wont catch!

I’ve managed to fix it this morning. Used a splined socket to remove the catch mechanism from the door. Released the cable from it to test that the catch mechanism worked moving the silver lever. The cable had very little movement when pulling the door handle, so discovered a sharp pull on the cable released it further. All back to normal now!
