Has anyone fitted a remote switch or circuit breaker to turn on and off the solar panel out put ?
As many will know being able to turn off the solar input to the renogy charger allows faster dc to dc charging. Getting in and out to use a manual switch/circuit braker at the back of the van is a faff I'd like to avoid if possible.
Thanks

Yes I put a solar isolator in. Has come in very handy in a few situations. I put it under the driver’s seat in the gap at the bottom that faces forward so I can get to it easily.

A switch like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/QIACHIP-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver-Universal/dp/B081C9D3CG?th=1 with remote RF capabilities will enable you to switch the solar panel.

You can then bury the relay/switch away somewhere and use the remote to switch on/off

Just be careful of the switching load - the one above is rated at loads of 10A. Those wiser than I will be along to advise whether that will suit your setup.

It will also need a 12+ & 12v- permanently (from LB?) to enable it to be powered all the time. Solar panel would then have the +ve connected to Com and then to charger from NC (or NO - doesn't really matter as switching will just flip between!)

Have fun and let us know how you get on!

Yes that's the sort of thing I was looking for. Making sure the amp rating is high enough is key I hope
Thanks
