Sore back from poor road surfaces

I have recently purchased a T6 and have found that the suspension is absolutely diabolical when the road is anything other than perfect. Is there anything that can be done about this, I live near Portsmouth?

How many miles has the van done? Ours is 60k & I have developed a sore lower back recently after a couple of hours in the saddle. It's not the suspension, it's the foam in the seat base that's developed a "Homer" ass crease. A replacement seat base cushion is on the cards.
