Sound deadening/lining tailgate - removing panel

Hi all,

I'm just soundproofing my kombi and I'm nervous about removing the panelling on the tailgate. Have had a look around online and can't see any specific advice for getting the panelling off around the handle etc - does anyone have any advice please?

Cheers
Frances

I think the DIY thread "internal catch release button" covered it :)

It's easy.
The handle actually clamps the panel on a bit so needs to come off or at least be loosened first. It is held on with two torx head screws and then you need to tilt the plastic housing (I forget which way) at is kind of slots in one end.
The tailgate release switch can be prised away from the panel and unplugged.
After that the panel will fall off once all the clips are removed.
