Specialized San Fransisco 1 single speed urban bike with disc brakes, circa 2009 in large. They are super rare and I have not seen another one advertised since buying it.
I bought this second hand earlier this year needing a bit of a fettle. I wanted something as a commuter bike for work to introduce some cardio.
I’ve completely refreshed it - new 26” Schwalbe semi slick tyres / tubes, new wheel bearings front and rear with fresh grease, new bottom bracket, ultrasonic cleaned headset and repacked with grease, new Jagwire brake cables and new BB5 brake pads front and rear, new chain/snap link and new 20T rear cog. Seat post is free.
It does have a few knocks and scrapes but no dents or dings.
I’m 6’1” and this bike is one of the most comfortable I’ve ridden. Its reasonably light having an alloy frame and no gears. It stops really well with the cable disc brakes though you do need to keep on top of adjusting them to get the best out of them. It feels very agile and manouverable.
This would make an ideal commuter, pub bike or campsite bike as its light and simple. I tried fitting some 2” off road tyres recently but they rub on the frame so 1.75 is probably the max (currently 1.5)
TBH I did not think I’d ever sell it, however, I saw a bike advertised recently which is my grail bike having owned one previously - a Haro Mary SS.
