Sportline Bumper Removal

Is there a link to the removal of the front bumper with a genuine sportline splitter fitted, I've looked everywhere but can only find standard bumper videos?

It’s the same process I think as the Sportline splitter is just bonded on to the standard bumper.

Thanks Dellmassive, I’m looking to remove the bumper complete with the sportline bumper still fitted, this is just for removing it completely, but I can’t see a way of getting to the screws behind where the sportline bumper attaches to the normal bumper in the wheel arch. I’m away till Jan so I suppose I have a few months to keep researching, I just hope while I’m away the wife doesn’t decide to rip it off like the splitter I had fitted

Hi All,

I’ve recently purchased a 2016 T6, and although I love the van, it came fitted with a sportline front spoiler which isn’t really for me….
I’d like to remove the spoiler, but my concern is that the paintwork underneath my have gotten scratched where there may be touch points between the 2.

Does anyone have any experience of this?? And also, is there any way of buying a replacement towing eye cover for the original bumper pre-pained in Acapulco Blue?

Can't tell you how to remove but I'd be interested in buying off you once removed for the right price if you would be happy to package up and ship.

Took mine off as it was ugly and a bit cracked. Some minor scuffing on front left bumper just in front of the wheel well where the spoiler had been loose and rubbing. Mostly polished out. You wouldn't notice.

Only other issue was the tow eye cover was missing which I think is normal. Got one from ebay cheap and sprayed it with aerosol.

Great! Yeah, that was my concern too there’d be some rubbing between the spoiler & bumper….glad it could polish out.

The eye cover is missing on mine too unfortunately.

Removed mine and it left rub marks through the paint in a line below the bumper grilles. ie all along the top edge of the spoiler.
Also marked the bumper at the wheel arches where the fixing clips had been fitted.

Ah, nightmare…. Did you have to get the bumper re-sprayed??

It was only visible close up as it was directly under the black trim. Eventually had it painted, but only because I scraped a gate post with the bumper.
