Sportline tailgate & roof spoiler not aligned

Has anyone purchased a Sportline van from the last batch of VW stock ? The Tail gate on mine didn’t close correctly and highlighted an issue with the tail gate which wasn’t sitting square in the chassis. ( bigger gap one side to the other ) . This made me more curious as to why the tailgate had been off, causing this ? I then noticed the nice looking tail gate upper spoiler was completely Warped , looked very cheap and after marketie ! I hadn’t realised that these sport lines came into the country as startlines and were modified in wales before registration. Few nice bits and some a waste of money. . ? This info isn’t well advertised .
Complaining about a few tthings but mainly the spoiler I have been without the van for 6 weeks ?. Eventually after filing a complaint with VW the decision was made to rectify. The comment , it might be the same ! Wasn’t inspiring at all. But hey ho I’ll give any one the benefit of doubt . What muppets are doing these mods for VW.? I don’t know if I should tell them to remove or swap the tailgate for a plain one and chose my own , I do like the look of this spoiler and don’t find any other offerings better looking.
I have now seen three vans with the same issue and last week a 2 year old sportline black edition came in and the spoiler was perfect ?
My big concern is that when calling TPS for a price on the boot spoiler or front bumper , the registration number shows a commercial grey front bumper and no info on the boot spoiler

The company is MS-RT, the same people who carry out the Transit conversions.
Welcome to Sportline ownership, the quality and workmanship is decidedly poor on the add-ons.
TPS don't stock any Sportline specific parts, you have to take the V5 and have photos of the chassis number to your dealer.

The crap fitting tailgate isn’t a Sportline thing, you see heaps of misaligned tailgates on all different models.

It is a chore getting Sportline bits, with the vin number, mileage and pic of the part required etc, and they then have to order via Edward Davies Commercials (who do the conversion - which is on the official paperwork for the conversion) not the regular system, then unknown lead times plus the mental costs.

As @MK2Golf24v says they are a bit of a freak of nature to start their life! But far more akin to a Highline than Startline when they're delivered to MS-RT for them to make a mess of them with their shoddy build quality!!!

This is what i heard , what a crock of S t this is , so expensive they really taking the pee now
Not according to @CRS Performance

Personally I have no idea....
I was told by the dealer principal it starts life as a start line . Makes sense if they are going to junk the bumpers rather do it on a start line .

That's what I mean by it being a freak! It comes with mostly Highline spec but has Startline bumpers (as they ditch them!) and a load of non Highline bits inside as @MK2Golf24v said in his original post above (that I notice has subsequently been edited!)

I thought that they had removed the tail gate to botch the spoiler on ??

The dealer sent me 3 videos of this so called "beautiful van " before delivery and didn't once check the tail gate mechanism or the poor finish on the spoiler !!!

Oh and they forgot to Tax the van so when i turned up late on a Friday they wanted to send me home and bring it to me on the Monday .

My response was "IF YOU CAN CHARGE THAT ID BUZZ UP IN 10 MINS " ill go home in it , He had clearly misunderstood why i was dumping a very expensive ID Buzz for half price ?? F I

I had the black edition, thought it was a highline as a base ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but definitely came on steel wheels as the centre caps were left in the van and the pic on the multimedia is a van with steel wheels and state line bumpers, very disappointed it wasn’t a pic of a sportline. No real complaints with workmanship and I knew it was converted at MSRt after coming to the UK. After two years and 40,000 miles despite loving it and being very careful the centre caps were heavily corroded, all the plastic add on trims were coming loose, side bars tatty, leather/alcantara worn more than I’d expect basically all the sportline bits are of a lower quality than the genuine items. I’ve sold it now as it did my head in.

I personally can’t see the value in the T6.1 Sportline especially as it is kitted out away from the factory. I never liked the front end - each to their own! Am I right in thinking that it is a UK only model?
My last van was a Candy White T32 T5.1 Sportline fully loaded - in its day was a rare but understated sight on the road.
This time I decided to go for a high spec T6.1 and put my own stamp on the various modifications.

Happy with the build quality of mine (2022)
Most luxury van I’ve ever had the privilege to own! ( usually builder vans ) saying that the sportline badge on front passenger wing was starting to pull away but fixed that and no other complaints.

Mine's exactly the same, 2 1/2 years old, 43000 miles and the side repeater trims are loose, driver's seat base worn, rear spoiler warps in warm weather, paint peeling on front bumper, centre caps loosing paint and side bars showing signs of corrosion.
The VW is great, but the add-ons are poor especially with the premium cost of the Sportline.
