ST coilover front spring compression

Hi,
live done a quick search and don’t think it’s been raised?
i am in the process of fitting ST coilovers, I’ve had them a while but just got round to fitting them.
is it normal for the smaller of the springs on the front to be fully compressed? Even before fitting the coils are close together but when fitted the weight of the van has completely compressed them. The larger spring is taking all the load.
any suggestions?

Normal, its called a helper spring, they are there just to take up the slack on full extension, not to carry any load.

They are indeed just to keep the springs tight if the van is lifted off the ground. It does however make adjustment a lot easier

Thanks for the reply, I’ve fitted them and they are actually a really nice ride, only dropped about 50mm though….so far!
