Good afternoon all you clever people, I have a question...

What is the plastic piece that sits below and behind the seat (see photo) called? Having just changed a double for a single passenger seat, I find myself in need of one.

.

The next question is... Does anyone have one they want to get rid of?

I have included the part number, if that helps? If none of you forumites have one I will have to see about getting one direct from VW, radical I know, but needs must when the OCD kicks in.

I can't imagine it would cost more than a couple of hundred old fashioned pounds?!?!

I have one knocking around from my drivers seat. Is that the same as a passenger one?

I got 2 on ebay for about 15 each with lights in them. often call 'rear seat base trim'

The eBay one linked above is dark grey/black, I need lighter grey/beige (ish).

But, at least I know what to look for now!

@soldas - they are the same both sides, even if they weren't, my new passenger seat base is a 'converted' driver side anyway. I will take it off your hands, if it is the right colour - I am trying to work out what official colour mine is - it isn't titanium black, that much I do know.

Looks that way - I think it is the letter/number at character 10 that identifies the colour, mine are 'C' which seems to relate to Grey from what I can see thus far.

I may end up having to buy a pair, so I get a matched pair, and I am quite taken with the ones with courtesy lights in (I like shiny things!).

Ahhhh - I wondered what those funny looking tins were in Halfords. I thought they were a craft beer, but it tasted absolutely horrible, didn't buy any more.

I was considering painting or carpeting, particularly as the existing one is a little scuffed. But, basically being a lazy bast**d if I can buy one that is correct that would save work...
