Had my van serviced yesterday and when driving back home which is only 1 min away from the garage all seemed ok no noises.

Went to leave for work this morning and this is what I am getting when turning the wheel! the noise is worse in person then you can hear on this video!

Any ideas what is causing this??

Thanks

Sounds like air in the system. Check reservoir oil level, and the hose between the reservoir and the suction side of the pump. Is there foam in the oil in the reservoir?
Turning the steering from lock to lock will clear any air, but if it comes back there is a problem.

Not sure if this is too low or if these bubbles are normal after it was running? The hose was fine.

update: topped up fluid cleared all the air and back to normal, went for a drive and after a mile it came back was hard to even turn the wheel but no leaks? pump gone?

The reservoir is full of foam, so you have an air leak. This can happen without oil leaking out of the same place when stationary.

unfortunately you're right I had quite a big leak, turns out I need a new steering rack! £768!
