Strange fixings?

Hi all.

Just started stripping my van out in preparation for the sound deadening and fixing points for the seat belts. And I've noticed 2 things.

1. I have one seat belt point factory I stalled? How do I have that?

2. Where are the factory panel fixing points at the top panels? As I was going to use them when plying/ carpeting.

As always. Any advice welcome.

Thank you

Hi ..Vw use a base van shell when building vans and will add as standard anchor points and then the van is trimmed to what ever spec is required

But only one side?

I wouldn't mind if it was both sides..it would save me fitting one

Something to do with the rear panel on the slider side maybe?
My Kombi has upper and lower mounting points in the rear but obviously wouldn't normally have rear seats. There's some logic somewhere.

Does anyone know what size bolts can be used in the wheel arch fixings?

7/16 UNF.
I used these to mount rings like these.

Edit: 7/16 UNF was/is the standard for seatbelt attachments bolts. I have seen somewhere that a metric equivalent has replaced this imperial size but I do not know when this may have happened or what the new size is. It may be so close that it's interchangeable but whatever the van is, the 7/16 is a good fit.
