Strange paint issue on wheel

Have recently bought a T6.1 Kombi, which had 18’s in immaculate condition when I picked it up. Yesterday I noticed a few marks where the paint was missing on one of the fronts, and today its worse again. It hasn’t flaked, but looks like something has splashed and burned through the paint!
Has anyone any idea what this could be? E02DFC09-29BB-4DF3-B42D-5CFE6268C045.jpeg22DEB5DB-CD98-44EC-8676-F99C0429153F.jpegB8E575F4-10AD-4802-B039-4BDE3DF8E3F9.jpeg2CC1FB0A-1E8C-4076-91C4-C59190C23C94.jpeg

Sorry can’t help, but it’s not often you see the 10 spoke Sportline alloys.

I’d be taking it back to see what they say. If they’ve been refurbed very recently before you bought it, it could be a fault in the paint / powder coat job?

Not being funny brake fluid is rather corrosive, no?

Checked for any damage?

Recently had a brake fluid change?

Just in case maybe check the level on your brake fluid reservoir before you drive it next?

Brake fluid is a good shout - it looks like there's a couple of spots on the caliper too.

Well, good news - it’s not brake fluid.
Took it to a local garage to take a quick look and at first they thought the same, turns out that it’s paint on the wheels, the exact colour you’d expect the alloy to be underneath.
Not sure how it’s ended up there, or how long it will take to polish off but at least I don’t need to get the wheel repainted!

Can’t get a better result than that.

Someone doing some painting next to the van then, I guess? Although that's a lot of paint splatter!!
