SuperMetal Bullet ... ?

We’ve fitted loads of these in the past - Our Facebook photos would have them somewhere - Good looking and very strong wheel

I've just purchased a set from wheelbase to go on a T6.1 on Monday, will post pics when i get them on. Very hefty and appear well made.

Supermetal supply wheels to my industry for Motorhomes and they are amazing quality, almost better than the factory wheels. I've spoken to the guy that owns the company in Kent a couple of times, and he's very helpful. I only wish they'd design some more options for Motorhomes because 15" and 16" load rated in 5x118 or 5x130 choice is diabolical.

Very nice shame about the arch gaps
Agree, I will have to leave them like that for now. Too much needs to be spent on the camper conversion at the moment. One thing I have noticed is the pressure sensor warning light has illuminated and I am baffled as to how I reset it. The manual does state that sensors are in the wheels (but not in my supermetal),so maybe I will have to live with the light??

I've just asked Andy at Transporter HQ, because he's changed the wheels on his new 6.1 several times and he said the TPMS is the same at the T6 and it's built into the ABS meaning you should just be able to reset it in the MFD.

Confirm It can be set in the MFD, I recently had new wheels fitted, 5 miles down the road the light came on, to my surprise. I didn't even know that function was there. Go into the MFD and accept, this will clear it.

Thank you for enquiring mate, yeah I had a quick look on the MFD where the tyre pressures are etc but could not find a reset option. I can select different tyre sizes which default to certain pressures but my pressures are not recorded. I will have to look again this evening, many thanks

Thanks David, I am struggling to find a reset option on the mfd but will have another go this evening, cheers pal.

Still no joy, thinking i am being thick but looked through dash menu and infotainment menu and no reset to be found. The suggested pressures are visible but the actual pressures do not show so i am stumped !!

I know @BognorMotors have a few 6.1's on ordered and i'm pretty sure they will be changing the wheels, but not sure if they've actually got them yet.

Thanks Tourershine, I will carry on messing. I really cannot see how the pressure would be entered in the system on the headunit, i am wondering if the 6.1 has changed to tpms in the wheels hence not recognising my actual pressures.

We haven’t changed any year. First big build starts tomorrow. Quite a few on our fleet. Will take a look tomorrow and see if I can help

That would be good of you, thank you. This is my first transporter and I ordered the TPMS as an optional extra. Also, this valve looks a bit serious so maybe I have cocked up paying for that option and then removing the Claytons :(20200303_201512.jpg

So....with what I have read a VW T6 / T6.1 is fitted with indirect TPMS. Whilst this does the job it is not as accurate as direct TPMS. I ordered TPMS as an optional extra which means I have probably got the direct sensors ( in tyres ). I am thinking that if this option is purchased, the indirect is disabled. Major cockup for me and just hoping that somebody has a workaround ie through coding maybe. I am hoping i'm completely wrong though. Any help is appreciated. Sorry about the hijacked thread.
