SWB / LWB Opinions

I'm in the market for a LWB Kombi van with tailgate, however, so far, most of the nice vans I've seen on the market are SWB. Having never owned either before, I'm struggling to decide if the SWB option might work work. We are a family of 4, plus 2 x dogs (GSD's) - I'd be looking to use it as a day van, down the MX track, carry one MX bike onboard (occasionally if possible) and sleep aboard (very occasionally) just 2 persons when visiting events such as Weston Beach Race, North West 200 etc - I'm thinking I'd regret settling for a SWB van. Anyone had experience owning both and what are the pro's and cons please?

It’s only 400mm extra length but it sure makes a huge difference.
LWB for a family of 4 for sure.

for MTB the LWB gives you the extra 400mm behind the rear seats. I only have SWB and its tight for my bike, kind of wished I had LWB....

I doubt you can get a mx bike in a swb straight, in the lwb you could get the bike in and sleep next to it if needed

Knowing what I know now I Wished I had bought a LWB van instead of a SWB but saying that I love our SWB as it’s really versatile.

Yes correct mine is just a panel van I can fit 2 bikes in
