Swivel Seat Height Gain.

hi, I've been considering putting both driver and double passenger seat on swivels from Kiravans. I read in the details that there is a height gain of 47mm on the passenger seat and 43mm on the drivers seat.
Has anyone found this to be a problem?
Are there any alternatives or workarounds which would prevent such a big change in driving position?
Cheers

Put a similar swivel on my front passager seat and being over 6ft tall not had any issues. Maybe vertically challenged might end up with their feet dangling :) Do you have height adjustment on your seats? If so raise them up to see how they feel.

Thanks. I’m 6’ myself, just wondered if you felt too high up but sounds like no problem.

I found that the extra height was a problem - not so much for me but Mrs Jollivan could not press the clutch to the floor even with the seat at fully lowered. Bought a lower seat base from Jennings and solved the problem as seat is back down to original height.

I am 6 foot, 4 inches tall and could not sit at all comfortably on the double passenger kira swivel, i found my knees were jambed against the dash and head touching the roof in the end i had to cut the base down to regain comfort

So you found a work around. It's possible to install the swivel without height gain? How and where did you cut?

Where did you purchase the lower seat base? And how much lower is it?

We have had ours for 3 years now, coupled with an MS Craft seat swivel base. It’s an excellent combination as the passenger seat height is unchanged and the sliding mechanism allows us to move the seat closer to the sliding door on the rare occasions the sun is out. I wasn’t sure if I would use the folding backrest but it is really convenient for creating extra space for those short stays when you don’t want the faff of swivelling the seat.

We couldn’t fault the service provided by MS Craft for the swivel seat and Gordon at Vankraft who fitted the seat modifications for the height.
