T32 204bhp 2017 - Flashing Coil light + steady Engine light + suddenly no turbo? 15898

Hey guys. Hope your good.

I stopped to fill up with diesel and as I drove off the coil light started flashing. Soon after the engine management light popped up and stayed there. A ‘start stop failure’ light came up also..

As I was driving my elderly parents around I was cruising super slowly and non spirited at all. However when we started to join the motorway, I noticed the Van had no turbo pull at all! The turbos had no power at all. After switching the engine off the lights remain and the faults remains.

Help please! Thank you T6 family.

Ay.

I had this and it was the DPF differential pressure sensor failure, the initial failure caused it to stop regeneration and that caused a build up in the DPF.
I called VW assist who diagnosed it and replaced the sensor and forced a regeneration which finally cleared it.
you will need to scan it to confirm the failure.

Re: code reader. If you don’t have a local VCDS (or similar) forum member that can help, Carista (about £25) should read it. You can find them on Amazon or eBay etc.

It gives you a month’s subscription out of the box, then you can subscribe if you wish.

You can also customise functions on your van with it.

This may help....

Have you got access to a code reader? First port of call really.
Hey, I just purchased a Carista and read the following:

Engine
Fault codes:

Component: R4 2.0l BTD
15898 Manufacturer-specific code

Central electronics
Fault codes:

03301 Feedback Locked-Position Drivers-Door

03302 Feedback Locked-Position Passengers-Door

03303 Feedback Locked-Position rear-left

03442 Feedback Lock-Position Trunk

Adaptive cruise control :
Fault codes:

Everything else is faultless

Interesting. Apparently I don’t need to regenerate however according to Carista obd port
