What load rated winter tyres are people finding best for devonports?

The wheels came with the van but I’m hoping to get some black Oz rally raid fitted for summer then use the devonports as a winter wheel set.

Cheers

I had a set of 235/55R17 104 GT Radial full winters on mine a few years ago. Excellent tyres throughout the winter, and v v good in the deep snow in the alps one time. I would consider going to 225 or 215 if I was running a set of winters, but I run all seasons now.

I have Pirelli Cargos on my 4mot 204DSG. They are all season & 3peak/snowflake (you have to be nice to them:whistle:) rated. We’ve done 2 winter Alpine skiing trips on them, no problem. They stay on all year round.

We’re these 235?

Very pleased overall with the Michelin Agilis Crossclimates we have on ours. The front pair were a "this is what is available at short notice" choice a couple of years ago. This test suggests they aren't the best in the wet, but I don't agree at all. IIRC the van had Conti on it from new, and I found them skittery as hell compared to the MACs. Once they finally wore out, I put another pair of MACs on the rear and that's improved things even further of course. (Hate have mismatched tyres).

We don't have summer / winter tyres - the MACs stay on all year, and we live in Scotland , amongst the hills.

I had a quick look at these earlier

I had a quick look at these earlier, this maybe a more cost effect option instead of two sets.
I have ran Michelin’s on my T5 for work the agils and have found they provide plenty of grip and have lasted for ages!

The Agilis would have been my first choice, but I couldn’t find them in the correct load rating for the t32 when I was looking. That was a couple of years back. They will certainly be on my shortlist when I change the Pirellis.

Well, the KwikFit we use recommended them - having properly rated tyres was very important for us, notwithstanding the fact that we had to have them that day! In terms of wear, they seem to have lost 2 mm in just over 15k miles of spirited driving (front). When the original Conti were replaced, they were quite well-worn at less than 9k iirc - one had picked up a nail in a non-repairable area, so of course with the MACs we had to have a matched pair. The Conti wasn't available and I'm glad they weren't.
