I am putting this up to see if there is interest in my wheels. I have had a couple of people DM me having posted in another thread that I was considering selling them. Simply put I am undecided so thought I'd post and see what happens. I am looking to sell them as is, because otherwise will keep them myself. Had previously thought of keeping them and putting winter tyres on them, however in the 3 winters that I have had the van, and the 25+ years that I have been driving, I have never had a vehicle with winter tyres, and have never actually been faced with a situation where I thought to myself - "if only I had winter tyres on right now". So keeping them would be more about not exposing my lovely Cantara's to salty 'orrible roads, rather than the need for winter tyres.
They are 18J x 18" T5.1 OE VW Sportline rims, in black. ET50, load rated to 880kg (so enough for a T32). All tyres are 255/45/18 103Y. (Direct fit for T5, T5.1 and T6)
Rim 1. No damage to face or rim. Goodyear Eagle F1 tyre, might get a couple of miles out of the tread.
Rim 2. Two bits of kerb rash to rim, one of these is barely noticeable. One of the bolt holes has slight marking from where a locking bolt had to be drilled off. GT Radial tyre with between 5-6mm of tread.
Rim 3. No damage to rim, the mark shown in close up is a scratch, not where it has been kerbed, clearly where something has brushed against the rim. Tyre is a Goodyear Eagle F1, same condition as tyre on rim 1.
Rim 4. One small piece of kerb rub, Tyre is a GT Radial in same condition as rim 2 with 5-6mm of tread.
Wheels would come with the Sportline wheel bolt covers. However there is only 19 of these as one had been lost.
So there you go. Not interested in getting them refurbed or putting two new tyres on before selling them, otherwise I may as well keep them myself if I am making them perfect.
I have a figure in mind based upon what similar items have sold for before, but taking into account the fact that the purchaser does need to get 2 new tyres and have a minor refurb on two of the rims. So I am thinking £500.
If no one is interested, I'll happily keep them for myself, but I just can't see the point in spending more money out to get them perfect to pass that benefit on to someone else, when the price of the sale would not account for what was spent out.
