T5.1 sliding door sensor issue?

Hi there,

I have a T5.1 with a sliding door on the right and I have a notice on my dashboard saying my sliding door is open (used a VCDS to readout which door is read as open). Door locks with no issues, but my interior light stays on. My first guess is faulty wiring on the door sensor as I have hit a few wires of the main wiring loom while converting my van. FIxed them but maybe I missed or messed up something. Does anyone know which color the wire for the sensor (the button on the backend of the doorpost) has?

I have this problem occasionally on my van.
Get yourself a fibreglass pen and clean the contacts. They may look ok but the tarnish on the contacts insulates them!

Hi @supernova you mean the contacts that provide the sliding door lock with power on the B-pilar?

Cleaned them thoroughly, no luck. I'm still assuming it's the wiring to the plunger switch on the C pilar. But I can't find out which color(s) that wire has.

Did you use a fibreglass pen? They need to be shiny clean.

Black/green.

It's so shiny I have to wear shades looking at them B-) Nothing changed though...

You can meet the wire also under left seat - at pin 8 of a brown 17-pin connector.
