T5 transfer box issue (4motion)

Hi,
I had a look under my T5 this evening (2007 2.5 4motion) to find a nasty surprise;
the transfer box is pretty much hanging off. It’s clear that the bracket has snapped and shaft joint needs replacing but I’m assuming the TB should be bolted on solid as that bracket looks too flimsy to be holding it in place.

Can someone please help clarify?

Ok I can’t upload .MOV files from my phone, but the video shows the transfer box is hanging fairly loose as the mounting bracket has snapped, does anyone know whether it should be bolted on solid or the bracket takes all of the load. Thanks

I haven't got a 4motion transporter but I do have an Octavia Scout to which I replaced the gearbox. The anglebox or winkelgetriebe is very solidly mounted to the gearbox. The pictures I've seen on EKTA and the web suggest they're identical in this respect.

(From what I can see in picture) Is that not the exhaust bracket broken off the TB? Is that the exhaust above?
