T6.1 dash lighting

I've got a t6.1 startline with no auto lights.

One issue I have, and have had for the 4 years I've had the van, is that the dash lights dim to off when the outside light level drops. As it gets darker you can see the dash lights dim down. I get why it does it so you remember to out your headlights on, but it's annoying when it's not dark enough for headlights but the van switches the dash off. Ir going under tree cover or through a tunnel.

Is there a way to disable this function? Or even better, use the light sensor as a work around for auto lights?

I would guess the dash lights can be tweaked in T6.1 because the cluster has the adaptation channels mentioned in the post below:

VCDS (VAG-COM) codes and programmable options for Golf Mk7 - Page 45

@MRG_AU So we have the same front radar, good news so that part hasn't changed in order to give the new extra features of DAP2 so further my original
