T6.1 Drivers electric mirrors / electrics fault

Hi,

I have an intermittent fault with the driver’s side electric windows & mirrors controls. The controls either work perfectly or not at all! The central locking buttons always work. Feels like a wiring connection issue but not sure where to start, any advice pls?

I’ve had the control panel off and checked the connections to the switches and they seem all ok.

What is often helpful for those that might answer is some detail of your vehicle date model version etc, Also if or not you might have an electronic reader or not. Also as this is also a social forum a little about your ownership that sort of thing.

Sure apologies about that! I took ownership of my T6.1 2021 highline a couple of weeks ago. It’s booked in for the conversion in 6 weeks time with a company close to me in Chesterfield.

I bought the van from auction and it’s in great condition, I’ve started to do some minor styling myself before the conversion starts. See photos of my van attached.

The drivers doors electric mirror/windows fault is strange as the controls either work perfectly or not at all which leads me to think there is wiring connection fault but as I previously said the connections to the switches seem ok so the fault must be somewhere lower in the system.

I was hoping to get some advice on where to start, maybe take the door panel off to check the wiring here but not sure if that’s an easy job.

All this said since easing this post, the people doing the conversion have said they will look into this.

An obvious place to start would be to swap the window control panel with a known good unit and see if that eliminates the fault. Is there anyone near you willing to meet up?
I had a problem with the door locking switches failing intermittently, then completely. It was the microswitch circuit inside the control panel that had suffered water ingress.
Might be a good (and relatively easy) place to start.
